Personal project - further thoughts

I'm knocking the 'patient journey' idea on the head, too many issues before I've even started. Now working up a new idea:
'steampunk down the pub'
Steampunk meet in a pub called 'widow Cullen's well' weekly, a set of images with them in all their regalia should make for interesting viewing. Images I've seen are quite dark with a general antique effect and lots of vignetting. Photographers who have taken steampunk images:
Dean Bradshaw - atmospheric, fantasy, aged.
Heiko Warnkle - fantasy images with various background, lots of post production work.
Walt Stoneburner - fantasy portraits.
Russ Turner - has had some success with steampunk photograpy.

Areas to consider - background, lighting, props (guns, accessories)
Locations - in the pub, picnic in castle grounds, old building, abandoned psychiatric hospital on a misty morning!, in the bailgate area using the old 'gas light' atmospheric street lighting, (lighting may be needed to use for directional)

There doesn't seem to be much out there regarding famous photographers that I can find. I hope my tutor comes back with suggestions of whom to research.
