German artists working as a collaborative duo. Best know for their extensive series of photographs, or typologies of industrial buildings and structures.
They were fascinated by the similar shapes in which certain buildings were designed and the attention to detail that many of them had been built with.
I have to say the style of photography by Bernd & Hilda Becher doesn't really inspire me or really interest me. Similarly the book by Donovan Wylie 'outposts' I am told is an inspirational book which again I can't get much from. Water towers and outposts are not really my cup of tea on the whole.
