Digital Photographic Practice

With the completion of The Art Of Photography I start the next module with great enthusiasm. I found TOAP to be a challenge as I'd not even heard of a 'blog' and hadn't kept any sort of learning log since school days so from a technical point of view, starting the course was a big learning curve. TOAP gave be a sound grounding in all the project areas, all of which I enjoyed. I gained in creativity both practically and cognitively. The reading list recommendations started off as a mind blowing approach to viewing photography, but toward the end of the course, I started to understand what was being said.

I would have preferred to start People & Place as my next module as it appears to be more interesting to me than DPP due to the subject matter, but taking heed of the advice from the college I am completing DPP first in order to build a firm technical basis in order to move onto P&P. I completed TOAP in 13 months, I intend to complete DPP in less than this time, my desire to move onto P&P a driving influence.
