Exercise: Black-and-white

For this exercise I was to choose a subject, location condition or picture situation that you think may look better (to me) in black-and-white than in regular colour. This image I have chosen was originally taken in colour and also in black-and-white as it seemed apparent from the scene before I took the picture that it would look better in black-and-white due to the content of the scene, the antiques outside the shop look timeless in black-and-white and to actually suit it better than colour due solely to the subject matter and not for other reasons such as texture, lines, dramatic sky/cloud formation.

Even though the image was shot in black-and-white, as I'd taken the photo's in raw the sensor had saved the colour image. It was easy to see by the aged items in the scene this would look better in black-and-white.
